First & Third Sunday : 4pm - 5pm
Ian studied for the ministry of the Church of Scotland at Glasgow University. He is also a qualified musician and holds London College Pianoforte Diplomas. He has been playing the piano since the age of three. For several years he presented his own monthly music show on Moray Firth Radio based in Inverness and also formerly and for many years presented the "Reflections" programme on Grampian Television. For several years he has written and continues to write the "Manse Window" feature in "the People's Friend" magazine and has published several books. He is married to Margaret and they have a son David, and twin daughters, Gillian and Jennifer, plus five adorable grandchildren. Over the years Ian has undertaken several exchanges to the U S A and has seen much of that vast country, but he is never happier when he and Margaret are in their second home, namely, Scarborough!
Ian and Margaret are aficionados of the legendary Scarborough Spa Orchestra and have attended their concerts at the Spa every summer, since the days of the late violinist virtuoso Max Jaffa....whom they met!
Max Jaffa, playing "Love will find a way" has been the signature tune for every radio show Ian has presented over the years....which now amounts to several hundred! Ian is absolutely delighted to present "Sunday Serenade" on Coast and County Radio!
